<description>It is personally refreshing to hear brothers and sisters in Christ discussing openly what it means to worship our God! I find that in my day to day walk with Christ, He allows music to have a major part of pulling me back to Him! If the music was simply entertaining as opposed to truthful, revealing, remindful, and convicting it would only make me feel better for a short time. The power of God-honoring music in my life causes me to re-focus on Him not the world and in turn tugs and tears at my heart to ask Him to help me be more like Him.

I has been challenging to me personally in this area with respect to raising three children with an age range of over 11 years. They all have varying tastes in music then their siblings, mom and dad and grandparents. “Tastes” seems to be the buzz word. Do tastes enter into the discussion about what is God-honoring or not? Asking God for wisdom and having open and frank discussions with them and other Christians is where to start. I find the Lord teaching me new things every day that I didn’t even realize I needed to learn. I guess that is part of growing in spiritual maturity. Can anyone imagine the joy and perfect worship when we finally meet Him face to face?!

Praise the Lord for your ministry Dean! We are praying!
